I played it a lot when we were working on it. It doesn't seem to take long to get rusty.

Well we completed another first. The first to play a game remotely between Canada and the USA.

It would be nice if we could play and see what each other were doing. It seems like it might be possible if there was a file server where we could install FP and turn our PCs into slaves to it. It would take a fast connection though.

I am working on another change to POTO other that just fixing the bounce control. Changed all the status lights to shapeable.

This might also be possible with twitch. I personally haven't used it, but millions of gamers stream their desktops over the web. Everyone who is participating could log into the channel, and we would just have to switch channels based on the current players turn. I can look into this and see if its possible or if it only works with consoles or certain games.

It would be cool to be able to see the current player real-time.

It would be doable to come up with a standard fpRam saver for all tables but this would have the following limitations:
1. Complete table reset of lights and objectives after each ball (many EM reel tables do this anyways)
2. The saved features would be Players playing game , Current Player , Player Scores, Balls remaining
3. And of course all the usual stuff ( nvballspergame, nvhighscores, nvTotalGamesPlayed etc..)

4. A more robust saving of all events and mission progress requires a more intensive approach like the mods I have done...as each table varies wildly...

I just checked and FpRAM files seem to be loaded with table start and not refreshed during play, but saved upon exit.

You just need to exit to table editor ( not completely exit) before you can load an updated FpRam file for the next player...

When we were playing the game, I just started playing a 2 player game and pressed Esc when the prompt for Player 2 came up. Then I opened my fpRam folder, copied the fpRam and sent it to you. When you returned the fpRam to me, I overwrote the fpRam and played the table again. I used the menu option to load "Temp Save" and pressed start to play. It seemed to work.

Perfecto
I was checking whether a live updating connection between 2 active pc's was possible but it seems not as you have to exit and restart table each time with updated fpRam file

Speaking of challenges the other idea is the head-to-head dual slope
