I have tried everything I can think of like restarting my PC, clearing the cache and using 4 different web browsers. No go. Oddly, every other web site I have tried opens fine. Oh well maybe they don't want me going to it anymore.

If you have a user id, you might tell them I can't open it. I use GeorgeH as my id there; same as here.

Don't know why they'd block you unless they are anti GoPinball.com ?

I decided to stir things up a little at vpforums...
I just added a post under title " FP Physics Finally Fixed"
Do you like the FFFF alliteration ? 8-)

Quote:
Hopefully the title is enticing enough to try the mod of Slamt1lt's Ultimate Phantom of Opera Mod....

http://www.pinsimdb...._opera_ultimate

Using Bam we can now dramatically enhance FP flipper physics

The code template is easily pasted into any table

For those interested it is accomplished
With a "prehit " code where BAM anticipates the ball to flipper contact
point and we simply code variable flipper dynamics based on this.

For the adventurous, the template is easily customizable

And we are just beginning to understand the potential.

Dynamic FP coding has unlimited possibilities that I can explain if people are interested.

Please try this new mod and try to let go of your previous assumptions

Cheers..

Let's see if this will banish me from vpforums...

I actually don't think I have been banished because my web browser just times out. If I were banished, they would just take away my id (I think). I will try it on a different PC today.

I was able to log into the site on another PC at my local senior activity center. So something is amiss on my PC. Maybe it is a sign from God considering the troll that commented on your posting.

I believe Chepas has been around for a while, I think it was he that gave me info about DMD extraction...

He is softening his position and I think he is one of the masses that has turned cynical over the years...

vpforums is FP hostile for some reason. It really is a VP site and I believe the moderators sometimes block posting of links to other sites....at least that has been my perception over the last several years

but maybe I am just paranoid

Anyways lets see if we can generate some interest about what we are trying to do. I am excited about the opportunity ;)

I thought they were blocking links to this forum until I figured out that you have to use the link button before you post a message. It is like the way you have to post links on PinSimBD. You have to paste the URL into your message. Then highlight it and then click on the link button. Then paste the link there as well and then the link works.

Did you run the troubleshooter George, and is it just VPForums that does this. It may be a ISP routing error and your connection signal is being bounced around.

Gimili, nice try but fruitless with that crowd. They forget that VP in the early years had a lot of people experimenting and getting flamed by people similar to them now, and yet now everyone has benefited from that work and that is why VP is as good as it is.

They should be encouraging you, and even helping out. The more people that make tables for FP could also end up being more people that makes vp tables as well. That's a good thing in my book. A lot of stuff in VP was done first in FP and it's tables as well, just like we all do the same and take things from VP.

Nice try though. You are talking to a bunch of people that fail to see that every advancement in FP is also a possible advancement in VP. That people that contribute with FP can also contribute in VP (like redrawn playfields etc) . I'm very happy with my table right now in how it plays, it's just as good if not better than what I did in VP before, and really, it doesn't really matter to me what other people may say about it, it only matters if I like it.
