you may have to "sacrifice" the sound played for ramps (by default plastic sound). to the same sound played when rolling on wood (i've done it on my version of black knight2k).

if you have metal ramp you can still use the metal sound but to enable it you have to put triggers.

'
' to handle adding metal ramp sound use addWireRampTrackedBallHeight wiretrigger,50 (removed when ball hit playfield)
'where wiretrigger is the trigger on start of the wire ramp
'
'
'
'to force the remove use removeWireRampTrackedBallHeight wiretrigger,50
'where wiretrigger is the trigger on end of the wire ramp
'
'

hello
i've worked on a new version with hit sound (very soft) and falling ball sound.
So no need anymore to add a tons of trigger for these sounds (unless special cases).

this will add more life to the tables.

please also note that i've provided an updated version of my physics too (I use these physics on all the 35 tables on my virtual pin). no more over exagerated flipper angles or fast lightning balls...

BEWARE!!!! the lib also contains code for dynamic flipper.
So if you don't like my physics think also to remove the dynamic code in the lib....

some settings :
xmen
=======
table slope=6.0
flipper angle=54 left=116 right=244

totan
=========
table slope=5.8
flipper angle=54 left=116 right=244

id4
==========
table slope=5.8
flipper angle=54 left=116 right=244

don't forget to link musics and sounds with the sounds library for you personal tables (or you will hear nothing !!).
in the link a table to show the concept

hello,

i'm working on a version that add panned (left center right) metal hit sound on guides and flipper metal lanes (the volume will be computed with the ball speed).

that will need a little bit of more work to add on your tables because you have to give a hint on the Y location of the guide (they don't have X,Y coordinates).

Thanks....Smoke....

just to be precise, physics apart, just replace the file ZBRrollingballsoundslib?
do not need to change other parameters? for example these?

ExecuteGlobal LoadExternalScript ("ZBRrollingballsoundslib.vbs")

ZRBrampHeight = 53
ZRBtablewide = 550

ZRBsoundballchan = 6
ZRBvolNormLevel = 1.0
ZRBrollingSound="zfx_ballrolling2
ZRBPitchTunning=-40

ZRBrampSoundballchan = -1 'set to -1 to disable rampsound roll

one question, I noticed that in my new table, the Ball Rolling FX doesn't work....I think maybe, because the game plan is a surface,(top height 53) this could be the cause?

if you allready use the lib just replace it.
IF you are using for the first time the lib you have to import all music and all sound from the ZBRrollingballsoundslib.fpl file.

the default values are:
'*****************************
'*****************************
' TO ADJUST TO YOUR NEEDS in the importing script
'*****************************
'*****************************
ZRBsoundballchan = 5
ZRBvolNormLevel = 0.40
ZRBrollingSound="zfx_ballrollingb2"
ZRBPitchTunning=-40

ZRBrampSoundballchan = 6 'set to -1 to disable rampsound roll
ZRBrampVolNormLevel = 0.80
ZRBrampRollingSound="zfx_ballrolramp"
ZRBrampPitchTunning=40 '20

ZRBwireVolNormLevel = 2.0
ZRBwireRollingSound="zfx_ballrolwire"
ZRBwirePitchTunning=10 '60

'sound for center, for left we will use the sound ending with L and for right we will use the sound ending with R
'so if ZRBFallBallSoundCenter="mysound"
'left sound = "mysoundL"
'right sound = "mysoundR"
ZRBHitBallSoundCenter="zfx_rubberhit4" 'center sound to play when the ball hit something
ZRBHitVolTunning=1500.0
ZRBFallBallSoundCenter="zfx_ballfall" 'center sound to play when the ball fall on the playfield
ZRBFallBallUpperSoundCenter="zfx_rampplastichit" ' center sound to play when the ball fall on upper playfield or upper plastic ramp
ZRBFallBallVolTunning=25.0
ZRBFallBallSlowSoundCenter="zfx_ballfall2" 'center sound to play when the ball makes some little jumps
ZRBFallBallSlowVol=0.5

ZRBMetalGuideHitSoundCenter="zfx_rampmetalhit" 'center sound to play when the ball hit a metal guide
ZRBMetalGuideHitVolTunning=1000

ZRBPlasticGuideHitSoundCenter="zfx_rampplastichit" 'center sound to play when the ball hit a plastic guide
ZRBPlasticGuideHitVolTunning=1000

'*****************************
'*****************************

so if you already use the chanel 5 you have to change ZRBsoundballchan variable etc...

i always supposed that the game plan is on playfield for the normal rolling ball and i start to switch to the ramp sound when the ball is higher than
ZRBrampHeight=18 ' 27/2 (center of ball) + 5

so you may try this for the moment (but i think falling ball sound will not work):
ZRBrampHeight=(15+53+5)
