OK - Thanks!

Just wondering though, if I have the ability to play in VR (Oculus Rift) then why would I try 3D Vision? (I'm honestly wondering, please don't take my question the wrong way)

These are cool features of BAM and VR vs cab vs desktop is a common discussion point.

1. VR is more immersive
But perhaps more vertiginous and harder on the eyes
2.VR really is for one person(you can swap the goggles and the other player can look at the skewed computer monitor, but this cumbersome)
3.VR has screen door effect
4.VR is teathered
5.VR blinds you to the real world

Simple 3d has none of these disadvantages (if you have 2pairs of glasses)

Some people pimp their cabs but ignore 3d which surprises me because the reality of the actual pinball game should trump the package in my opinion

Head tracking is cool but without 3d is just a gimmick, and most people seem to drop it after a while.

If you do start with head tracking, play with one eye closed (monocular 3d) and it will give you hint of what the full experience should be.

Hi Guys,

I'm a little bit confuse, which BAM version is the last one ?

On the Rav's page is the BAM_v1.4-196.zip, is that correct ?

I noticed Franz Leo posted that his table needed version 198 on his Star Trek 2.00 table posting on PinSimDB but 196 was the last version that Rav posted on page 172 of this topic. Franz Leo used "xBAM_BallCloseTo" on this table which was added to 196. I think he must have entered the wrong version number on his Star Trek posting.

Another beta:
https://www.ravarcade.pl/beta/BAM.dll

This is release candidate.

- fixed reflection errors for custom camera when new renderer is enabled
- in custom camera menu settings of camera are applied after you press Enter in line with settings (previously it was instant after value was changed)
- Shift+Enter will set values from current camera. So, you can use Manual Camera (F11), put camera where you want and then press Shift+Enter
- you can "lock" Manual Camera. If you press F11 twice, camera will not change when you move mouse
- added Desktop Camera Animation menu in DEV options. You can create movie-like camera sequences, see video:
https://youtu.be/hnIiXPnxQwE

More about how to create it and use from script on this thread:

Rav,

I am using a Beta version and when I open the BAM menu, it says "BAM v 1.4 -204" on the bottom right side of the menu. There is not a version 204 yet so are you using some sort of numbering system for Beta versions?

No.
File from this link:

is v1.4-206 now.

My question is that the current version is v1.4-196 and so it seems that the next version should be v1.4-197. Why are these beta versions numbered so much higher?

That value (current v1.4-206) increase after every build of BAM.dll.
You also need different value for every beta/debug build. You don't want have v1.4-196 release version and for example 5 different "beta" BAM.dll v1.4-196. So, every build must have different version number.

Dear Rafal this numbering system is not good!
I have published a Bam table and I do not know which version to recommend to the user. I have v 1.4-198. I'm not sure if I recommend the 196 (last), my table works. I should go and check what commands I loaded with the beta versions. I'm lost and I mess with users. This is a VERY GREAT problem. It does not help the spread of Bam .........

For my humble opinion, all beta should be numbered ie "v 1.4-204b" and should be published on your site.
My 198 is stable and to avoid mistakes I should have it loaded by the user.
Greetings

Gianfranco
