If they didn't prove Twilight Zone was profitable then broken business model is broken.

How about you send me some money, I'll need about 1 tenth of that, so I can buy a STTNG pinball machine. Then I can recreate it in FP? Only joking (sort of) If I had the spare money I would donate. GLXB

I'd also donate if I could. I support them by purchasing their tables. That's about all I can do. As far as STTNG for FP is concerned, I patiently await the day rom takes on the challenge.

Pledging money is a very weird way of doing business.
Being an entrepreneur use to mean that you needed to risk your money to make more money. Nowadays, everyone is playing with money belonging to others people without any of the risk but saying "you know what...thx..it didn't work but at least..we used your money for the test...not ours".

From what I understand with kickstarter Steve, you get your money back if the product is not delivered. Maybe kickstarter keeps it in Escrow or something like that.

Sure, they have to deliver.... The thing is they are just mitigating ALL risk by having a community fund the venture instead of manning up. I thought the Twilight Zone kickstarter was bad enough. This is completely sackless.

We'll just have to disagree. All I care about is: if I want to play Twilight Zone, am I willing to pay price X? Whether I fund it or they do, who gives a crap? This is the biggest difference between developing for a big corporation like EA which funds you but controls you to some extent, or going on your own as an independant in a world where games usually sell for a couple of bucks. Whether they get their funding from a bank or through a guaranteed sale through us, there's no difference, I get product A as expected, developper gets to exist without some corp vampiring them, dogs and cats, living in peace, mass hysteria!

I respect all view points but I am a little baffled by all the negativity on this subject both here and on vpforums. It's real easy. Farsight is just pulling through (not losing but not making any big buck either) at the moment. They told their fans straight up that they simply do not have the funds to take on those big licenses at the moment but asked their fans if a kickstarter i something they would support because it is the only way we stand a chance of getting this ace tables,Most fans said yes let's do it, So it is all up to us the players. Are we passionate enough to wanna try and get them anyway? If not they will not hunt down any more big names and stick to all other great pinballs out there, me I am really psyched about this table and I have no problem with collecting to the cause and have a chance at playing some really good tables
