Hey everyone,
I installed Win7 Ultimate 64+ on my cab today and wanted to change from hyperpin as a frontend to pinballx. I like pinballx a lot for its possiblities in terms of listings, ect. There are so many features that hyperpin just doesn't have :)
However, I cannot get BAM running with pinballx. Has anyone successfully managed to do so? Pinballx totally loses focus after one launch. After exiting a table, the pc returns to desktop mode and not the pinballx. So, can anyone point me into a direction to fix this? Or would it be possible to launch various FP.exes in pinballx? That would also help me out...
Thanks guys!

I will check PinballX again.
4-5 months ago it works fine. All i have to do, is to add /STAYINRAM switch.

Hey Rav, thanks for you response...Could you tell me again where I would have to add this "stayinram" switch parameter? I donĀ“t have any idea what it means :) Sorry, total program noob here...

BAM works fine with PinballX. You need to put /STAYINRAM in the arguments field in the FP window of the setup wizard. (The caps are important.) Your path should point to the BAM directory. There are some good threads in the PBX forums if you get stuck.

Thank you for the explanation. Sorry, if I posted a non-sensical question here. I tried to research the issue on my own but came up empty. I will check the PBX forums for more detail. Thanks for the help and pointing me into the right direction...

Hi Returnee. To help you out, go to your PinballX folder, and you will see a Config folder at the top. Go in there and you will see a file called PinballX.ini which is what you need to edit.
Open that with notepad or whatever you use, then scroll down about halfway, and you will find a section that starts with [FuturePinball]
5 lines below that you will find the line you need to edit.
I can't remember the original line, but the line should say
Parameters=/STAYINRAM /open "[TABLEPATH]\[TABLEFILE]" /play /exit
Change yours to the same as that and save it, then you'll be all set. :-)
I hope that helps you out. Cheers, Mal
