When you say emulator, I assume you mean the emulator for the PC, under Windows. As far as I know, there is no emulator, and why would you use it, if you already have a PC. But If you have MAC with MAC OS, or PC with Linux, I can't help you.

To play this game, first you have do downlad steam client from

http://store.steampowered.com/about/

and then Pinbal FX2 from

http://store.steampowered.com/app/226980/

To install it, click on the green rectangle "Play game" and the table will be downloaded and installed. If you want to play directly, and not through Steam, you need Win 8.1. Pinball FX 2 is not hardware demanding, the minimum is:

OS: Windows XP / Windows Vista / Windows 7/Windows 8
Processor: Single Core CPU@1.6GHz
Memory: 512 MB RAM
Graphics: GeForce 6600 / Radeon 9800
DirectX ® 9.0
Hard Drive: 1200 MB HD space
Sound: DirectX compatible sound card
Other Requirements: Broadband Internet connection

I tried on a slower computer (1.45 GHz and Radeon 9600 Pro) and the game worked. Table are free to try, but if you do not buy you will have popups alerts and time for playing will be limited.

Maybe I should have reworded that.

I meant has anyone created the FX tables to run on FP. Iron Man Gold, Classic Panic, and Medieval Madness have great 3D FX.

You can just install it on your PC, and load the tables through PinballX. even with BG video, it works here!

Somewhat unrelated to cabs but I captured a video of PinballX running Pinball FX2 on my MacbookPro in desktop mode (which I am taking with me on my vacation for some actual Pinball playing). Frontend runs well with Pinball FX2. In the video you'll see an incorrect table was launched. This was a result of keyboard timings being a touch off with the added tables. I've since added a delay between keystrokes in the AHK script (and have also decreased the keyboard delay in Windows Control Panel to minimum).

Doubtful these will be bothered with much, wait for a sale and get many for under $1 each.

Preview them all and pick a few, I bought 90% of them and regret it some, supporting the genre, prefer real tables it would turn out.

Epic Quest is probably my favorite of the FX2 family.
