try this :

Quote:
Ball with Radius bigger than 20 roll down the table and half way down plunge/vanish under the table.

20 might be the max.

For some reason when I tried it the ball was disapearing too, I had to go to
BAM menu, dev, miniplayfield, idx 0
and move the "box coordinates" x values off the table (x min 600, x max 900)
( a Rogue undefiined "miniplayfield" was capturing the ball...)
I also changed the translucency to opaque 1.0

Quote:
Also tried :
ball with radius 13.5 and mass 1
ball with radius 13.5 and mass 150

no effect on ball and collision with flipper. I assume here that a heavier ball roll slower?

In my modded demo table above,Play under debug mode F9 to be informed which ball mass is being released.
You notice the difference especially if you try to move a ball with the manual ball roller

Keycode's 45-48 (x,c,v,b) on keyboard will launch 4 different mass ball

Also ball change color when hitting left and right slingshots and kickers but texture never change (baseball, basketball)?? - Yes I did change it in the code.

In Rav's code , your ball has to be named Ball_A to Ball_I (as per the "transformation" rules he has coded on this table to go from ball A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H-I back to Ball_A)
and this table only has basket ball, knight and baseball textures imported...

Balls A-C Have Basketball texture, diff colours
Balls D-F Have Knight texture, diff colours
Balls G-I Have Baseball texture, diff clours

I did get that gimli, but still I dont see the baseball/BasketBall patterns.
They are in the image list, I know what to look for but they don't appear when the table is launched. The balls change color but this is is. No pattern.

You dont see the patterns on the demo table or one you are making?
If the latter, you have to first assign the textures to surfaces in table editor...

Ha! that did it.

Is there a note of that somewhere? that is the kind of note people should include in the table info.

He he :D

it is noted in several places along the way...like everything else around here...
tons of posts....some tutorials....but so many things we learn along the way...an then forget....

Assigning the ball textures to surfaces is also something that is overlooked...I realize you are no stranger to this...but at the cost of boring you:
The ball demo table actually only uses 2 of the 3 necessary ball textures for the full effect
(miownkhan has posted about this in his custom ball thread)

basket_452", "basket_334", "basket_334" should be "basket_269" . It think.

the 452 texture is the most important I recall and is just a negative image of the ball image you are looking for... 334 and 259 I think give finish and markings and are mirror images of each other

Yes, it is on my tutorial which is on the second posting below Miownkhan's custom ball posting:
