I am using BAM in 3D mode on my Samsung LCD 3d TV with active shutter glasses.

After some fiddling I found that a cheap plastic prism $10 from Sayal electronics store
deflected the signal to the end of the TV I was sitting at without signal loss.
The 3d effect is amazing and infinitely customizable from the Bam config menu!!

Thanks everyone involved in BAM and Future pinball. It's amazing!

Here's an update on my 3d meanderings

I've been using Bam in 3d mode on my Samsung 3d LCD tv with nvidia GT 610 connected with HDMI
Under passive split screen with excellent results the Fps is actually faster than non3d
(due to lower resolution in this mode)

I couldn't initially get active 3d to work , until I installed the add- on program "3d TVplay"
From Nvidia
In the nvidia 3d control panel I had to choose "HDMI checkerboard" and then finally
BAM recognised my 3dTv . I then switched TV settings to checkerboard and the higher resolution 3d worked (albeit at a slightly lower but acceptable Fps)

Now I happily alternate between kinect mode non3d and non-kinect 3d as both have their strengths

Cheers

as stated in the Bam mod posts at top of this forum, Rav , has now implemented "skeletal" tracking which enables combined tracking and 3d !!!

Don't know how he did it, a little technical pixie dust or somethin !

So you can now have your cake and eat it too...whatever ever that means :)

oh ya one more remark and I done.

Rav has improved the speed of BAM considerably and high res 3d mode with kinect
has very little if any speed loss on my system.

So if you have a 3d tv and bam you can have the same effect as the ir-light tracking devices?
I don't understand that prism thing do..

with. my 3d tv the ir signal comes from bottom left corner
when on tv stand (when watching tv)

when I lay it down for pinball it is at near right corner
the ir signal is not strong enough and not diected to
reach the end that I am playng pinball from

I tried mirrors etc , but a friend suggested a prism which actually
works to deflect signal to where I am
so I don't lose signal so easily
this may not be issue for everyone and may not be problem
for LG passive 3d tvs

what do you mean by IR light tracking?
Do you mean ps3 eyes?
I think even they would require 3d card/tv for full effect

Ya report back your findings
I find the combination amazing
You may find it hard to wear IR lead glasses and 3d glasses at the same time though, with the dual ps3 /IR setup

you could attach IR leads somehow to passive 3d glasses?
randr would know
