Rafal,

It works now when I use the save tablename.xml function. I verified that this line looks like this when I save it:

<physics fps="512" threaded="1"></physics>

I will let you know if I have any more problems.

What is the "Name" for?

George

BAM update.

http://www.ravarcade.pl/files/bam-setup.exe
http://www.ravarcade.pl/files/BAM_v1.4-180.zip

Changed files:
BAM.dll, renderingengine.dll, Kinect.dll, Kinect2.dll, Simple CAM.dll, PS3Eye.dll, ModelImporter.exe
You have to update all used files. If you update only BAM.dll and try to keep old renderingengine.dll it will crash.

Change log:
- All updates from beta
- On all FP objects with name and textures you can change texture from script:
Code:
'  First texture:
xBAM.SetTexture "fpObjectName", "TextureName", 0

'  If object have more than one... second texture you will change with:
xBAM.SetTexture "fpObjectName", "TextureName", 1

'  ... and third texture
xBAM.SetTexture "fpObjectName", "TextureName", 2

- Simple CAM, Simple PS3 Eye plugins updated. Fixed error with calibration
- Kinect and Kinect 2 Plugins updated. You can now trace user hand (left or right). In hand you can have small camera and make video
- other error fixes... i forgot how many.

-------------------------

@gibsmedat:
Log from error did not help. It not points to anything in BAM.dll.
But lets try to solve error.
Try to use new BAM version. If it crash i will need:
- link to pinsimdb with table you try to play
- gfx card model and drivers version
- os version
- BAM_CRASH.log

Thanks Rav!

There is a change I would like to see implemented. On the flipper submenu of the physics tweaks, I like being able to change the mass and omega of each flipper. Unfortunately any changes I make are not saved when I use the "save tablename.xml" option. Can you fix it so the changes are saved?

The table slope doesn't get saved either but I can just manually update the field in FP. It is nice to be able to adjust it in real time.

George

These updates are great Rav!

After trying BAM OVR and turning the lighting to very dark, one thing I noticed about FP image "lights", is that they aren't really lights at all. They are images that are effected by the "main" light and they aren't even illuminating at all. It seems that the only real lights are the "flashers" that illuminate.

Would there be a way to have image lights (or any light) be completely illuminated on its own? I don't mean having them affect the rest of the playfield like flashers..... i mean having them similar to how a hologram can be (always fully bright) when turned on?

BAM's lighting looks amazing in VR, but if I can't turn the main lighting down to show it off because the table lights aren't visible, it's a bit of a bummer.

@rav: It crashes too.

Here's everything you should need to reproduce the crash:

OS: Windows 7 Prof 64-bit SP1, 16GB RAM
Graphics: 4096MB ATI Radeon RX 460 Graphics, latest Drivers available from AMD website

IMPORTANT: The Future Pinball version I use. All DLLs have been updated to latest version. Re-download & overwrite. zlib1.dll can be deleted from your installation folder.

http://www51.zippyshare.com/v/HnirkWfV/file.html

Table: every table crashes. Here is the one I used for this test: http://www.pinsimdb.org/pinball/table-7 ... a_ultimate

and my BAM_Crash.log: (see below)

There is a change I would like to see implemented. On the flipper submenu of the physics tweaks, I like being able to change the mass and omega of each flipper. Unfortunately any changes I make are not saved when I use the "save tablename.xml" option. Can you fix it so the changes are saved?

The table slope doesn't get saved either but I can just manually update the field in FP. It is nice to be able to adjust it in real time.

George

Flipper mass and omega.
You can set mass and omega for "All flippers". This is saved in XML and it works fine.
You can also set it for one, selected flipper. Then in BAM menu you can press CTRL+C and paste result in script. Result look like this:
Code:
Sub BAM_Init()
   Dim LeftFlipperExt
   Set LeftFlipperExt       = xBAM.Flipper("LeftFlipper")
   LeftFlipperExt.Mass      =       1234
   LeftFlipperExt.Omega     =         50
End Sub

As you can see it is subroutine. BAM will call this subroutine right after table is loaded and script finish initialization.

Slope.
Slope from XML is used only when you switch in game between physics. When you start game (F5) BAM is always using slope storend in table (.fpt file).

@TerryRed:
I don't see how to fix it. Sorry.

@gibsmedat:
hm... On my desktop your fp.exe (with all replaced dlls) works. Also with original ilut.dll.
I will check if i can find radeon gfx card.

Bonus to all:
In BAM menu go to "Config" -> "About". There is line about fonts in BAM menu. Now you can change fonts used. My new fonts looks better and are drawed much faster.

I have used this and you are correct that it works fine.

...So BAM will use mass and omega for "All flippers" unless it has this subroutine in the script?

Does it matter where this subroutine is added to the script (as long as it is not inserted inside another subroutine)? ... Sorry, I don't know much about coding.

This is OK. I thought it probably couldn't be changed but I had to ask.

Very nice. The new font even has a back shadow.

Thanks Rav!
