would it be possible to auto-patch to white?
or make the color of this text a global option which doesn't need for every single table to be reopen and fix? (override any color to white)

- auto-patch - not possible/too complicate. I don't moddify table-file on disk or in memory. I only montior FP calls to system and fix some values. So to do auto-patch i have to moddify table-file on disk (and recalc checksum = reverse enginering how FP do it) or write tool to pretend user and force FP to do it. In other words i will spend 10x more time on that tool than you on fixing 300 tables.

- global option - realy? at begin it will be only one option, when we need to have one global value and for few selected tables own value ... whan it would be nice to have 10 colors with own rules (and few exeptions) ... again we spend 10x more time on tool and at end we will have complicated tool hard to explain.

Sorry, but BAM is already to complicated.

Thats why here is new "test" version of text-color-fix:
http://www.ravarcade.pl/debug/BAM.dll

This time there is no message from BAM. Change of text color will just work like it should:
- no more unwanted change color to black
- change of color will just work

I tried everything I can think of and cannot make the problem occur with your new BAM.dll file. It looks like you may have a good fix. I sent private messages to some of the guys asking them to give it a try. I'll report back what they tell me.

Thanks,

George

I tested the new version of BAM.DLL... Everything works perfectly... I can modify all the data in "Table Info ..." without having the problem of "Text turns Black"

Nice work !!!

I got a message from Gimli who said he tried the fix and it worked nicely. I sent a message to 2 other guys. One guy said he doesn't use BAM so he didn't try it. The other said he never had the problem so there wouldn't be a way for him to test it. I sent messages to MadMrMax and momoch; and they have already posted replies on this thread.

It looks like the fix works. For those of you that haven't read how to install the fix, just download the BAM.dll file from the link above and save it to your BAM folder. You may want to rename the existing BAM.dll file that is there in case you want to revert back to it (though you probably won't). If your existing BAM.dll file is dated 7/11/15 or earlier, you need to replace it with the new file.
