Ok. Simple. The BAM thinggy...
Let's say you have Future Pinball in C:\FP
Let's say your Future Pinball executable is named "FPG.exe"

You must rename "FPG.exe" to "Future Pinball.exe" and have it in "C:\FP"
In "C:\FP\BAM" you will find a "Fploader.exe".

To play WITHOUT BAM, you go to "C:\FP" and you call "Future Pinball.exe"

To play WITH BAM activated, you go to "C:\FP\BAM" and you call "Fploader.exe"!
"Fploader.exe" will call "C:\FP\Future Pinball.exe" for you.

You don't see BAM unless you call it that way and press the "Activation Button" that is "Q" or whatever you want to configure.

I hope it helps WITH BAM.

BAM will not resolve the "Black Bar" BUT maybe it influences the OpenGL driver in such a way that "Black Bar" problem is gone. I never tried it. :)
Good luck

I use V.1.9 too and I have the same problem every time I change table info, this is what I do and usually fixes the text color:

1- Change all table info you want.

2- Save table and close FP

3- Load FP and your table

4- Edit table info and fix the text color

5- Save table, close it and close FP again, dont do anything else to the table, and dont try to run it yet

6- Run FP again and reload your table

6- Run your table and check if the text keeps the color your want.

That should work. Eventually I have to do all steps above more than once until it actually works.

I have tried this method that works when I need to change the "Table Info" screen:

I created a desktop shortcut (with the following target) to the executable for FP Physics 2.5:
C:\Games\Future Pinball\Future Pinball Physics 2.5.exe

I edit the "Table Info" screen with the 2.5 version. Then save and close it.

I also created a shortcut (with the following target) to BAM's FPLoader:
C:\Games\Future Pinball\BAM\FPLoader.exe

Then I open and play the table using FPLoader.exe. I can also edit the table in every other way with this version and not had any problems yet.

The only times I ever need to edit the "Table Info" screen is when I want to change the number of balls and delete the "High Score Defaults" that some table developers enter. I prefer to use my own high scores. If you decide to delete the defaults like I do, you need to do it before you ever use the table. Otherwise, the high score defaults get incorporated into the fpram file. The only way I have found to get rid of the incorporated defaults is to delete the fpram file and start over again (which will delete your high scores that you have saved to that point).

This is what I have done until now and got frustrated with it because I don't remember the exact color the table developer used. There have also been a few occasions where the loading image gets set to "None" and then I don't remember the name of the loading image.

I decided to try editing the "Table Info" screen with a FP 2.6 exe file. It doesn't make much sense to me but the black text problem returned. So I guess I will continue the FP 2.5 exe file to edit the "Table Info" screen as I described in my previous post. You got me as to why the 2.5 exe works on my PC while the 2.6 exe doesn't but I suggest you try both if you have this problem.

Using FP 2.6 is unnecessary to solve the problem and is a waste a time.
Why ? Because FP2.6 (or 2.5 or 2.7) isn"t a new version of FP. It's just an 1.9 version wich have been edited with a ressource editor to change the Physics (and modify the XML file wich is pacckaged in the EXE).
The core is unchanged. So if there are a bug in 1.9 editor the bug will still here in 2.5 editor (because it's always the 1.9 editor).

The solution has been given by GeorgeH and works without switching with different .EXE

???? Wasn't the Black Bar bug corrected by now? Does anyone still can't correct it?
After all that has been said about it?
Try this: Download R2 from http://vpuniverse.com/forums/files/file ... all-25-r2/
Delete OpenGL.dll from Future Pinball directory.
extract R2 to Future Pinball directory as FP2.5R2.exe
Call FP2.5R2.exe
Load the table. Change the color. Save the table.
Open the Table again and see if the color has changed.
If the color is still black then ... I'm clueless.
(after that you can erase R2 if you don't want it)

Hello blackphoenixpt, see no offense on my text.
Your moded version is great... And there are really good works.

For plenty other reason it can be great to adopt it.

That I would said is that your version stay a moded version of FP (not a new version), there are some things you can't change without have the source of FP. So some bugs cannot be corrected without these source. (And I don"t think you have that).

That i would said to is that there is no need to use any other version of FP to correct the problem of black text. You wrote :

But if you make this manipulation with FP1.9 (original) it works to...
...Exactly like GeorgeH said.

It's not MY VERSION.
I just shared it. (lso I tweaked a little R2 so there's a R2Physics version)
I have NOTHING to do to it beside sharing.

I tried to download but the site says I don't have permission. The 2.5 version I have where the file is dated 3/13/13 works good ... it does NOT turn the text black when I update the Table Info screen. I have a 2.5a version dated 3/29/13 which does turn the text black. It makes no sense to me but that is the way it is.
