I was interested in how many of you guys can't use the "New Renderer" light system. "New Renderer" slows Gimli's PC down so much he can't use it. Does anyone else have this problem?

I ask because I am setting up the lighting on Jurrasic Park and am wandering if I should provide "FP Original" as an option.

You can see if the fps drops by pressing F10 , I think it is ?

Actually it is the F9 key.

I apologise, but, in my opinion, you commit an error. Let's discuss it. Write to me in PM.

Hi all,

In FP original I have 60FPS on all my tables. With the New Renderer option I drop to 40FPS and cannot play.

I didn't add this mode on JP but it has been added to the revision to Creature from the Black Lagoon that I am working on now. It is called Old Renderer Day Mode. It took me a little while to figure out how to reduce the brightness of it. I figured it out by increasing the "Attenuation of Table Lights" Constant.

I noticed a particular, the new renderer, it slows down the PC is true, but it is based on how many lights there are in the table ... for example if I play with my nintendo pinball, where the new render is active, for other functions , I do not have slowdowns even if I change the option from day-darknight ... because there are very few lights ..... instead if I do the same things on batman, I have slowdowns, in my opinion apart a good processor, it takes a video card a lot powerful .. the problem is ... how many people have a super pc - that can play without slowdowns?

in fact, like you, I have the same dilemma, creating an optimal version, with the new renderer, or shadow maps, or new method for xBAM.CreateAllExt lights ... ect ect..for how many people?

eighty percent has an average pc, which as soon as there is some particular function that bam uses, it can't play it ... so what's left to do ;) ??

I think the best we can do is to accommodate lower end PCs as best we can but still use the new stuff.

I would like to set the frame rate in the XML higher than 298 but then the guys with lower end PCs would have problems with stuttering so I leave the FPS at 298.
