hello, one year ago, i was written a primitive add-on for blender to import/export milkshape models. but some month later the add-on was broken because of changes in blender. it took more than a half year to found enough time to fix and improve the add-on. now, i am proud to announce my brand new rewritten ms3d importer/exporter for blender 2.63+. with version 0.5.x the add-on is able to import and export ms3d files again. it is way faster than the old one AND, now it can handle animations ... ! an new updated video tutorial is coming soon... sorry that it took such very long time ... and thank you for your patience. ps.: many things are changed, in contrast to the old add-on, watch out to the new MS3D-panels in blender, only these will be respected by the exporter! links: wiki-page, with the add-on as .zip-file http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Extensions:2.6/Py/Scripts/Import-Export/MilkShape3D_MS3Ddaily-build of blender (dev-build r52285+) does have that add-on included (you have to enable "Testing" in the add-on preferences to see the ms3d add-on) http://builder.blender.org/download/

hello, i am proud to tell you, that from this day on, my MilkShape3D add-on is included in the blender release. that means, you don't need to download my add-on separately. so, go and download the newest blender version, and have fun...

Is it possible to create a model in blender, save it in a format that 3ds supports and a proud owner of 3ds could convert this file to obj.???

I think you can make it in Blender and convert it in Milkshape 3d
