sk1 did a great work reversing the table MAC computation !!

I've merge his code so you can now change anything in a .fpt file and save it, the MAC is now rebuild.

@Community: Please report to me if MAC calculation fails on a specific table. All my tables worked fine.

PS.: maybe you can adapt the internal of 'Crypt...' by looking to Wine, how Wine is doing it, to be independent to Windows. (but not really necessary - it is good like it is.)
http://source.winehq.org/source/dlls/advapi32/crypt.c - this seems to be only a wrapper, but wine does not need windows, so i think they have their own implementation somewhere.

can any of you, supreme mind, explain to us minions...in baby word, what the heck you are talking about.

I personnaly hate Mac and don't touch anything with that name with a ten foot pole..:D

so concretely, as a table maker, how can this help me and if there is short tutorial about all that I would be happy to find out.

Steve, it's for tool builder. Now we can make a tool that load a .fpt, change things in it and resave it.
The table protection (table mac) is now fully recomputed, so the table can be safely reloaded in Future Pinball.

yes, I saw that searching for Crypt* alternatives. I think it's doable, but not have the time yet. So i prefered release it a a windows options right now.

yes Steve, and now somebody can make a tool for you to convert your EPS data (surfaces, walls, rams) into your table file... and FP will not reject that changed table file

My next toolset will contain command line FPMac.exe to set the MAC. This will run under wine as well.
