How about favicon.ico, one for gopinball.com and one for pinsimdb.org?

Thanks.

Hello AtmanActive ,

Ask you whether you should make favicon.ico, or if anyone has one?

BTW: Many thanks for the fantastic high quality pinball Logos and the work you had with it. They look great. :D

Stefan

I was asking if site administrator(s) could add a favicon for these two sites.
My Iron browser has about 20 tabs open at all times, so the only way to distinguish tabs is by the site's icon (favicon), as tabs are so small for site's title to be displayed.

Now, if you want, I can make them myself, yes, that's not a problem, or anyone else can make them, it is just that admin(s) have to put them in the site's http root serving folder(s).

My personal recommendation for these two icons is to try to avoid silver ball, as already too many sites devoted to pinball have silver ball as their favicon. The pinsimdb.org has these nice red speakers in the header, which would make a great favicon, and the gopinball.com has this red bumper-stylized 'O' in the logo, which would also make a great favicon.

About my contribution: you're welcome. That's least I could do for this wonderful community that has delivered so many super-high-quality Future Pinball tables to my screen.

Cheers!

yes, for GoPinball the cap of the bumper "score 10 then lit"
but for PinSimDB i think the loudspeaker does say nothing... maybe the icon of the FPM Editor will be more appealing.

PS.: please make an icon in following resolutions: 16x16, 32x32, 48x48, 256x256 (e.g. with GIMP - open a new image, set 256x256 and background as transparent, add a new layer 48x48 and another 32x32 and finally 16x16. if you save it as favicon.ico you will get a message "Large icon...", keep default setting, ready)
that icon will shown proper in windows XP and above - for MAC Tiger, add also an layer with 128x128.

why so big icons? not for the browser window itself - it is if you put a favorite on your desktop!

Me personally, I can't make that big icons, I don't have the source graphics.
I just took the images that are present on these two sites right now, which are 80x80px and 50x50px.

I did the icon building with IcoFX.

If someone could provide larger pictures (256 pixels and more), I could do all of the available sizes.
