A challenge to all to take on the galaxy!! I am becoming a big fan of Martin Brunkers stern tables. I never thought i would get into these retro tables as much as i have done

Tip: Try and avoid the 2 bumpers in the middle of the table they are nothin but trouble so you have to try shoot around them..like forest gump said..thats all i have to say about that!

Score:1,088,170

Another beautiful and true Stern classic... and one he has worked on for a good while... it's perfect really.

ok as you know i am very competitive when it comes to defending a high score  , i have set a new score of around 1,250,000. At the moment i am having trouble taking a screen shot as it seems to be capturing the editor in the background instead but rest assured i will post it up as soon as i can :)

score:1,236,940

Your 1.2 is very impressive! And I wouldn't be afraid to sail in your fleet.

Unfortunately, my 1.5 has put me back in the seat. That's right! I am once again the Supreme Commander of the Galaxy (<--- lol).

lol... after Sun Special... this golden oldy becomes the chattiest darn machine ever made.

Beautiful for post transfers though... hellish for back/flip shots (have to move the ball pretty far up the left paddle to get a nice clean shot on the left target bank.)

Haha. very nice score sir!..i also had the sun glowing at one point not sure if i picked up the bonus though. This is quite a hard table to control when the ball is jumping lanes along the bottom i have nudged myself into the depths of hell many a time. I Agree with you that this is a very nice table and deffinately worth defending..The world just aint enough!..Bring it on!

Oh..nice rhyme btw :P

Update: I now understand why they called this table galaxy its simple really..ITS UNSTABLE!! :x

i am just being knocked about by this table at the moment..bumpers slammin my ball down the middle from takeoff and kickers just bein bloody kickers and knockin me down the side drains..im gonna have a brew, a smoke and make me some breakfast come lunch then im gonna attack this table till it begs for mercy!!

score currently around 1,350,000

oh i also had another error related to bonuses and being nudged out a red box with red writing came up saying somethin about the table needing to meditate!..it will when im bloody finished with it!

yet another meditation error..this time i was still playing with a ball  and another one popped out so i thought..oh nice multiball..so pulled the plunger back and was playin with my two balls for a bit  then the error came up i should try and let martin brunker know through his website...gosh if that aint pinball porn i dont know what is!!lol

ruthlessness of this table proven when your at 1,200,000 after the first ball yet still cant crack it.

You can have a very good game and not hit the pop bumpers much at all... Sounds like your left flipper might be getting you in trouble. The kickers will kill you if you let them bounce the ball back and forth = instant side drain action. After the ball kicks off the wall... try table nudging in the direction that the ball is moving to break it out of that cycle. In other words... use nudge to give the kicker more power. ;) In am earler post you talked about the ball doing its bounce on the side lanes... don't worry about that... just nudge when it arcs into the open space above your flippers... i.e. carry the bounce over.

I almost re-downloaded that table because I had the same strange meditation error with 2 balls... I thought I might of had a corrupt copy. I don't remember errors happening like that with the older version very much. I sure have not gotten a message about telling martin brunker through his website. WTF? ((LOL)) that would have been a total trip for me! If you are getting the errors from the Galaxy hole then you might want to avoid it (hehehe) the points might not be there anyway. ;)

GL HF!

This table is giving me all kinds of trouble at the moment and i lost momentum when i scored just 10,000 points behind your high score!! :x I believe there are a fair few scripting errors on this table first of all relating to getting nudged out and also the strange multiball occurence which you have had also..i believe there may be other errors relating to targets not popping back up fully on a new ball and also galaxy lights staying lit i have yet to see what the special does when lit and activated i dont see it doing anything...i found a video on youtube showing exactly how the table works i will link you up in a few minutes..The score you have set is a tough one i have had many scores in the 1,300,000 mark

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xz4hI1s3caI

oh i didnt get a message saying to contact martin brunker btw.lol..i just think i will and let him know he needs to have a look at the table :)

oh very nice advice for them pesky kickers i will try this tactic, thanks.

also on this video you will see that this machine only seems to be a six digit scorer

Nice! Very nice! but I have to lol at just 10,000. I have just been totally frustrated with Bride of PinBot... so it is a little nice to see I'm not the only one feeling a little frustration.

Na, Sun special... is just a free game. My point was that by the time you get to Pluto... you can hit the targets down before it stops scoring... i.e. constant points chatter.

OMG! that table has been played hard! I loved his honesty... He scared the hell out of me like 3 times watching him verily recover the ball from between the tips. o_O

As far as crazy scripting behaviour, I did notice that if I quit the table and shut the editor down... to re-load from my tables folder... that it would help. It seemed that I couldn't "play through" the problems but a total re-load would help fix. Hope that helps.

Plato plutocrat plutonium plutocracy plutonian Pluto. Supreme Commander of the Galaxy!
