did you download the latest version from Vpforums Steve? (the one on pinsimdb is old)

There also is nifty 3rd monitor plug-in specifically for pinballx that either comes
with FutureDMD or downloaded at pinballx site. It gives some extra 3rd monitor bling
while in Pinballx, you just put it in the pinballx Plug-ins directory.

-Downloaded the package (thx!)
problem still remain. Freezes on the pinballx "LOADING" screen.

-I have put the 4 files in FP folder
-I have put the file "FutureDMDStats.dll" in G:\PINBALL\PINBALLX\Plugins
-I have changed the pinballx.ini with these :

Ok, after more digging...

I opened futureDMD manually before everything and it picked up coolPosition DMD. but did a test restarting everything then opening fish tale and no luck there, even though I am sure that there is a DMD on that table. so far it is working randomly (I only open table with DMD).

I will rethink my 3 monitors setup to keep only 2 I guess. Seem not to work well on "french" machine.

try changing monitor res or alternAting monitors

already did try different res...thought it might be video card dependant,
still no luck. as for trying it on another monitor...no can do. this is supposed to be for a specific 7 inches monitor, so I guess my cat is dead.

I will stick to a 2 monitors setup. Everything work well beside the fact that 4:3 screen dosn't exist anymore, so I am stuck with a 19 inches 4:3.

are you kidding me Steve , you got it working with cool position and you are giving up?

It is a simple fix . If it works for one it will work for all. It is a software tweak , not likely a hardware problem.

1. future DMD only picks up certain resolutions of DMD (so this can be changed in FP table editor)
2. future DMD only picks up first DMD created ( so you sometimes have to do a little shell game
by Renaming old DMDs , then creating new ones which you name as per the original old one, and deleting your renamed ones that your aren't using. )
3. Future DMD pickups DMD's you have dragged off the table or hidden with DMD.fadeout
4.Of course Future DMD only pickups DMD's not hudreels, gas segments or overlays....

- I am aware of this, I did a couple of table in the past so I know how FP itself work

- I saw the priority post, and I am aware of it since I got a PinDMD in my latest cabinet.
but the tables I checked only have 1 DMD in them. HUD or Disp. and not both of them.
So the problem doesn't reside there and also not in trying different resolution.

As I said I was successful picking up coolPosition DMD but only once. second time I briefly saw trailing garbage in it. I remember some PinDMD have the same problem, meaning randomly working.

So I assume it is my system, my video card driver or something else. But since it work to my satisfaction with BAM, Pinballx and FP itself (No bugs, no Crash), I will just leave it be. We cannot just assume that this is a universal solution that work for everyone. :)
