Very cool Gibs! Chlorine Lagoon is just in time for the new version.

If you don't want to use these as desktop backgrounds, I think they would work also as new loading screens for the tables.

Gibs,

I was wandering what your thoughts are on the playfield of Attack From Mars ULTIMATE 1.02. To my thinking, the center of the playfield looks somehow washed out even though the texture is fairly high res at 2048x4096. I guess it is because the capitol buildings are mostly black and white. What are your thoughts?

That part of the playfield has a bit of unsharpening going on, that's what it is you likely see. I have a 4096x8192 UHQ redraw I found somewhere I can't recall, sized it down to 2048x4096 and adjusted it as much as possible to the existing layout but it doesn't quite fit, and the redraw isn't as feature-rich and complete. I uploaded it for comparison though:

Replacing the unsharp part of the playfield only would be a chore to do as the colors don't match up either. I think the UHQ version would look absolutely stunning though (I couldn't even upload it as max. filesize on Pixhost is 10mb and that jpg is 11) as a replacement, but it lacks some of the stuff (lights, woods, different colors, etc) on the existing image so it would be a ton of work.

I think this may have been used on a Visual Pinball table. I have seen similar colors only darker on a VP table. The beige and brown are actually shades of gray on the real table. The green of the trees on the original table is darker that the green of the saucers but the texture used on this table has a lighter green for the trees than the saucers.

I discovered a texture that I think looks better that is saved with the table textures but unused. It is named "afm hd lt100 Full HD" in the texture manager. The green of the trees looks better anyway. You might give it a try. For some reason, the files size is a little different at 1981x4500 but it seems to work on the table.

I think the textures are not really sharper but use slightly different colors where some colors seem to work better than others.
