Gimli, All these notions you are talking about are very hard for me to follow so this is were I give up.

People want it fast now, with no efforts to be done, and are now riveted to their smartphones, spend less and less time actually doing stuff. The entertainment offering is too vast now and people more detached from each others day by day.

I started this at 34 and the world was a lot different then. Now at 48, there is too many things out there to occupy my time.

Sadly, I know right?...

Hehe, I have heard that before...
I can't find the link and it may have been a PM, where Rav was explaining a break thru ,whereby he has gained access to FP through code.

Bam initially, I believe, was an intercepter that translated the graphics calls from FP to his "asymetric frustrum" 3d "Better Arcade Mode"

Now he/we can use the FP script to have BAM integrete with FP.
You'll notice all of recent innovations miniplayfields, custom balls, magnetic fields, pendulums, textures swaps, physics altererations... use " xBAM...." commands

So, to see BAM as a mere bandaid, I think is not totally accurate

Too true ! I guess that's why battle weary middle-aged geeks, like myself get attached sometimes to losing causes ;) It gives something, a nice little creative outlet, to grab onto....pathetic I know

Ya, it's hard to justify my pinball fascination at 53, when life is too short...
I don't think I'll care about this stuff in a few years, when they bring me my bed pan in the nursing home...at least that is what my wife is hoping

Great dialogue though,

Cheers everybody...

It's synergic. Less big table makers, less audience/interest equals less FP in general. BAM on the other hand... don't take this the wrong way, but I am not a fan. The only valid use it has for me is switching XML physics on the fly. I don't like the way tables are starting to depend on it.

Rafal, are you still working on this or has it been abandoned?
It does look very promising...

I asked Rafal if he was still working on a new editor and he said he started it but doesn't have enough time to finish it.

I agree. BAM started out as a way to manage physics and add views to better support using FP on cabinets. Rafal is essentially using BAM now to change FP in piecemeal fashion. Maybe he will eventually have the whole thing rewritten in BAM at some point.

I'll do some graphics to tune some of the tables I found which are good mechanics-wise, but lack polish. Been doing a Paragon update/remix recently, currently seeing what can be done about the plastics. And I don't have to do it all from scratch nor could I - doing stuff that polishes existing things up is my corner in this ballgame.

I would like to see an updated Indiana Jones with video clips . After all it is the number 1 download at Pinsimdb

If only we could resurrect a table builder....wait ...what's this Slam posted this Aug 8.....
wait for it.....SLAMT1LT on 2017-08-08
Table version : 3.0
Only just played this updated version of the game. Great work on the POA. I am seeing a lot of issues witht the game though so it needs a major overhaul to get it to the level it deserves. I've re-started my mod of Stern's Indy, might as well update this one as well while I'm at it.

Hehe
Welcome home
Table builders your are most welcome here:)
