I'd like to help but I have 40 gigabytes worth of tables and an additional 5 GB of library files. There is no place I know where I can post that much. I could select some tables but I don't know what library files go with the tables so I'd have to just give you the full 5 GB and I don't know where I could post even that much. Also, I have revised many tables and I am not sure you would like the changes.

I do recommend SyncBackFree that I use to do backups to a portable USB drive. I have created 25 profiles to do backups and I have used it several times. I have never seen a need to upgrade to their paid version because the free version works so well. The download site is:

https://www.2brightsparks.com/freeware/index.html

I have figured out a way to name the destination folders so you know where the files came from. If the file came from "C:\Games\Future Pinball\Tables\", I name the folder "C-Games-Future Pinball-Tables". You can't use colons or back slashes in the name of a folder but using the dashes does work.

I probably have quite a few library files that I don't use. You might consider saving your tables and library files in subfolder of "Tables". You can name the subfolder with the same as the name of the table and add all the versions of the table to it that use the library files. I did it that way for the X-Men table because it has a library file that has the exact same name as a library file for "World Cup Soccer". If I had it to do over again, I might set it up that way.

I'm sorry you lost your files,

George

I don't use/know about Pinball-X, but my carefully Mastered Collection is roughly 10.5gb. It features all my custom edits so far as well as all Photoshop assets inside zip files of tables which I made/edited as well as HQ flyers/Hyperpin wheels (I don't use Hyperpin but like the idea of png's as table references). Comes with the original setup from futurepinball.com, some FAQs & Manuals, and my modded exe I use alongside BAM (an older version which doesn't crash on me).

All in all approx. 200 of my favorite tables, carefully packed (not overhauled. sorry) together with many custom-tweaks. I dare say it's (one of) the best FP collection to own, following a strict naming convention for all tables, files and assets (I even went on to re-tag table infos but that is WIP and not done yet).

If you give me some time (upload speed says it will take one hour) , I can upload that shamelessly self-advertised package

You can send them to me. I'd like to see what you have done. Have you changed all 200 tables?

George

God no, this is only a collection of sorts. Most things overhauled you can find in my abandon thread already, there is nothing major in there in terms of table building (I only can take care of graphics so far). There is the Paragon WIP in there somewhere though, but I find less time these days to do anything in FP it seems. You likely don't need that download at all. Anyway, it's up now for grabs.

That reminds me... i did change some things to libraries. Here's the thing: some tables have libraries with same names so they overwrite each other, what I did is open lets say tableA.fpt with a HexEditor, and replaced all instances of LibraryA.fpl to let's say TableLibraryA.fpl so they got new unique names to that table. The names had to be the same length and are thus easily overwritten, this works fine and you have no more libraries which are called music.fpl for 2 or more different tables. I also did tweaks to many tables where things annoyed me graphics wise, but the tweaks are all minor and are probably overlooked by everyone who isn't such as a nitpick as I am hehe (that F14 table I tweaked is a good example)

I have had problems with that myself. The X-Men and World Cup Soccer each have a library file with the same name, "sounds.fpl". I added a subfolder named "X-Men" to the "Tables" folder and saved the different versions of the X-Men table there and all the X-Men libraries are saved there as well. Then I left World Cup Soccer in the "Tables" folder along with all my other tables and saved the library files for it along with all the other files in the "Libraries" folder where all my other library files are stored. It works without having to change either table.

By the way, thanks for posting the links above. I am downloading now.

George

Everything downloaded perfectly. It is the first time I have seen a fpRam editor.
I'm curious how you manage to keep track of which library files go with each table. I have a huge library folder and no clue as to which table they are used.
